i feel sad. after the death of my maternal uncle, now comes the death of an aunt on my paternal side. this comes as a shock to me. this aunt has been looking after me like her god son. cause she has a son which was given birth to just 3 days after my birth. he was born the same year exp that he was born disabled and later on died when he was still young.

so this aunt always pampered me and i feel kinda of bad. i wanna repay her but she has just passed away.

being in this religious procession has made me get to know some thoughts of some adult. i'm just a quite observer. just keep comments to myself n smile if i need to. adults have a different thinking of life. politics. US. IRAN.IRAQ. all this war. they just give their view. but let me ask an ultimate qn. can they made a difference. if cant what the use of just talking. do something. if cannot, just keep ur mouth shut. not rude but cant there be any other topic than this during a death ceremony.

went to do all the same procession again. this time was faster as compared to the Tuesday death. been bz lately. army starting on jan 3rd. guess no more going out.

death surrounds me. first my maternal side. now my paternal side. who's next?

an uncle of mine has just passed away. It happen on the 26 Dec '06.
I was shocked but i was able to take the news due to my work in the medic field. my mom on the other hand too the news hard. she was crying a lot and all i could do was console her.

In the morning, it was already raining. It rained the whole day and the morning was spent to wash the dead. it took quite long. U have to be calm and careful as not to put too much pressure. won't wanna hurt his body on earth. might cause him to suffer when he is in another realm.

after done with the procession of cleaning the body, then its time to wrap him up. after which, it was the last respects before bringing him back to the pusara aman.(place where they bury the dead)

The weather was GREAT!!. it rained the whole day. from morning till the time we reah the site. it showed no signs of stopping. but the burial have to take place. so we went there barefooted wont wanna get the slippers stuck to the mud.

so once there, they needed 2 volunteers. i tot since there are 2 older cousins, i wld not be the chosen one. but then all of the sudden, they(the cousins) called out my name. my NAME. i obliged and then went into the burial pit. it was wet and muddy. i had to receive the body first, then pass it to my other uncle. heavy at first but then light when i handed the upper body over to my uncle. it was chaos with all the rain.

once it was done, i was caked in mud. when to washed up. no tap water, have to use a pit where it stores water. the pit was deep and i could foresee an accident to happen any moment.

once washed up, final respects before heading for home. once home changed to new clothes. never bring spare but luck was on my side. spare suit found according to my size at the house. talk abt luck.

once changed, a ceremony was being held to commemorate the first night.
some say his spirit will come to the house but which house, it will be uncertain. some of my relatives are afraid to go home. but i dunno why they shld be afraid.. he wont hurt u. he just wanna say his last goodbye.

this goes on for 3 nights. i mean just the ceremony, not the burial. the dead stays dead. it was tiring. i was told to do this and that. man i hate to be given jobs with no time limit. everything seems to be in a rush. esp when ur parents have high expectations from u.
